Major Spanish producer Freixenet is expanding its sparkling portfolio with a Prosecco DOC and a Prosecco DOCG, which it launched at ProWein.
The new Prosecco will be produced by the La Marca cooperative group. The new wine comes in a luxury bottle and has 17 grams of residual sugar. Priced at €12.00 a bottle, its target is upscale and independent retailers and the duty free sector
“There are already orders for Finland, Norway and Sweden. Another market is UK. The great positive response at the trade fair makes it possible to expect more countries to join," says Marketing Director Kirstin Brunkhorst.
Freixenet also used ProWein to showcase its new Mía cocktails, as well as sweeter-style Mederaño Blanco and Mederaño Rosado still wines.
